Temple Grandin is an American professor of animal science at Colorado State University. She was born on August 29, 1947. She is currently 67, she was born in Boston Massachusetts. Every individual on the autism spectrum disorder (ASD) has problems to some degree with social skills, empathy, communication, and flexible behavior. Some of the other symptoms are problems with speech and language, and restricted activities and interests. Temple Grandin says "the part of other people that have emotional relationships is not part of me". Temple Grandin has neither get married or have any children. Grandin was listed in the time 100 list of the one hundred most influential people in the world in the category of "Heroes". Grandin has a degree for Animal Science , and a Doctoral Degree. Every time Grandin sees a door she imagines that it is a door to a new world of opportunities. Grandin invented a machine which is called a "Hug machine". This machine is designed to make hypertensive persons calm down. Grandin invented this machine when she was attempting college. This device is compared to a real hug of a loved one such as a mother or a father. Some of the things that she invent to help the treatment of the animals are called Animal Handling Inventions. She invented these machines to help the cows not to be treated so harmful, or to avoid having them go trough pain. Grandin is currently working at the Colorado State University, and is living at the state of Colorado.
